Manuel Fraga Iribarne. Presidente de la Xunta de Galicia. 1997.
Gallego insigne y figura universal del arte del grabado, que a lo largo de este siglo contribuyeron de forma fundamental a la estimulación, la creación y la compresión de este arte plástico. Su obra adquiere tal profundidad y madurez, original y rico en matices que le lleva a convertiste en una de las figuras mas importantes del panorama nacional.

Prieto Nespereira penetra en el interior del pez y lo convierte en un juego de texturas y ritmos entreverados en el que el hueco es todavía más forma que el propio volumen. Formó discípulos e instituyó un premio que lleva su nombre. Lo único o a lo que aspira es que a su labor contribuya a que todos a que todos alcancemos un poquito más de comprensión y capacidad de disfrute, una más afinada sensibilidad y un mejor conocimiento de esa realidad misteriosa que es en arte la obra bien intuida y correctamente acabada.

Aunque fue así mismo pintor y escultor, además de buen docente en Madrid,
Sus más notorios éxitos los cosechó en su faceta de grabador puro. Defendiéndo siempre la supremacia del grabado calcografico – para el, el único auténtico- frente a los distintos métodos de estampacion.
Con ese espíritu de pureza técnica pasó a la plancha su visión de numerosos rincones de la tierra gallega, desde las rías a los montes, desde las vistas urbanas a los interiores rurales no exento de cierta carga de angustia.
Alcanzó a acometer algunas composiciones sirviéndose de otras técnicas menos tradicionales como las resinas, que, además de permitirle obtener el aguafuerte directamente en color, le brindaron unas sorprendentes texturas; pero siempre con el pez y los temas marinos como principales sujetos. Inspiradas por la visión del mundo submarino.
Su inconfundible firma explayada en dos líneas nítidamente separadas por el trazo horizontal de la letra inicial de su nombre como si en ellas estuviesen prefigurados sis dos lenguajes tan bien definidos en su actividad : tradición e innovación.
En fin, siempre supo poner aquellas tres condiciones que el estimaba necesarias para alcanzar a ser un buen grabador: afición , dedicación y tener algo que decir.

Julio Prieto Nespereira como buen gallego sintió desde niño la vocación de navegar. Desde bien pronto empezó a enseñar lo que aprendía. Los grabadores españoles le deben, generación tras generación, la apetencia de novedad, y la garantía del buen quehacer técnico; esto es, el verdadero clasicismo, que requiere tanta precisión como audacia.

El grabado de Julio Prieto está lleno de voces y latidos, pone el alma en sus estampas. Morriña y ensueño, agua con luz, aire movido, paisajes con respiración, casonas detrás de cuyos muros golpea el oleaje de la vida interior, a veces río limpio y a veces mar brava.

After the experience of teaching classes with a mask? A private flamenco class for two hours without stopping, does Esther remember that when she and the student went out into the street they breathed for two seconds as if there were no tomorrow?According to Esther’s recent experience, with the mask you cannot see the total expression of the student, but the eyes also speak and flamenco is also expressed with the body.
With all the safety measures, the student disinfected her shoes, put hydroalcoholic gel on her hands, a temperature control was performed with a non-contact forehead thermometer and the student did not remove her mask during the two hours, only in the changing room that she only used to drink water.
