I don't know if it is because I have rabbinical curls and my name is Hebrew, Sarah Esther, but almost everyone I knew took it for granted that I was Jewish or they asked me. I had always had the feeling that having been born in Spain and having the three cultures, one of my ancestors would be Sephardic, since I felt a very special attraction towards them. Every Tuesday after class, Sof\u00eda and I went to have apple and cosmopolitan cocktails at The Dime bar, a small place, quite dark and frequented by surfers, each more handsome and also of Jewish origin.\u00a0<\/p>

What began as an anecdote on a Tuesday, turned into a game that fascinated us ... at the second cocktail no one took us off the bar, where from time to time the waiter threw a jet of water vapor that soaked us and it was the sign of the beginning. If the surfer who approached the bar to order, I did not move and let him lie on top of me, Sof\u00eda already knew that he was the chosen one and therefore before I left with him to continue the party in Malib\u00fa, she as a good lawyer and protector of her teacher, she would ask for his ID to verify his address, to keep him under control and with feminine intuition, while she took one last look at his enormous muscles, to give the go-ahead. I loved that moment, the surfer looked at her and became serious, then he looked at me and grabbed me by the waist so that I did not escape and I was happy to be free like the wind and finally start living without giving explanations to nobody.\u00a0<\/p>

Or so I thought, because Paul, who couldn't stand without knowing about me for so long, was in charge of quitting his job and driving for an hour and a half in the famous L.A. traffic. to pick me up the next day from the Boy toy\u2019s house and say with the face of few friends: You smell like sex !.\u00a0<\/p>

On the way back I made it very clear to him that I was not ready to fall in love again, that it was obvious that his feelings for me were more than that of a friend, that it was not reciprocated and I did not want to hurt him. But that I was not going to consent that nobody cut my wings, much less look like the bad girl in the movie and that when the rental contract ends I would like to live alone.\u00a0<\/p>

At one of the parties the Consul gave at his residence, I met Ilya Salkind, the producer of the film Superman, of Russian-Jewish descent. 25 years older than me, and Mexican by birth. It was at a time that all the people I knew had to do with Jewish culture. For me it was like a dream to talk to someone so important in the film industry and when he invited me to dinner, I did not hesitate to accept.\nA limousine picked me up and took me to Canter\u2019s, a huge 1931 restaurant where movie stars and celebrities go, open 24 hours and what a coincidence that Just was in front of my favorite bar, The Dime. They offer traditional Jewish meals but it is not considered Kosher as they also serve ham sandwiches. As I sampled what would become my go-to food for matzoh ball soup hangovers, Ilya Salkind would leave me with my mind-blowing stories wide open perfect mouth for the next spoonful. He told me the anecdote about why my favorite actor Paul Newman had rejected the role of Superman, about the controversial dismissal of Superman II director Richard Donner and his three marriages, the last one with the daughter of the legendary Charlie Chaplin, Jane Chaplin.\u00a0<\/p>

When Ilyan called his chauffeur asking him to refill the limousine bar with Champagne and assuming that he would pick us both up to take us to his mansion outside LA, as he said to me, don't worry about anything, in the morning he will take you back to your house, as if I was forced to accept just because of who he was. I started to feel very uncomfortable, I thought that how I had been so naive not to realize his intentions and I went to the toilet to call Ryan who would rescue me as a hero and since we had already finished the website, it was the perfect time to go to Lola's to have my long-awaited chocolate cocktail and if you have read the previous chapter, you can already imagine the romantic ending.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
