The reason why I left Antonio Canales\u2019s company, now more than ever it turns my guts and I even cry every time I think about it.At that time I was very young and I was afraid to be involved.We were about to get on the stage at the premier of Narciso at the Roman Theater in M\u00e9rida, when suddenly we began to hear very loud and continuous cries of pain for a long time, which came from one of the dressing rooms. The ill-born singer (Payo), drunk as always, was beating up his wife (gypsy), also a cantaora, very well known among flamencos.\u00a0<\/p>

Everyone heard her scream and no one did anything. Poor woman! And before singing , My God! I don't remember if she finally went on stage.\u00a0<\/p>

Everyone knew that he mistreated her even when she was pregnant and no one did anything.\u00a0<\/p>

It was not the first time, no matter the country, he always mistreated her. If I had been Antonio Canales, I would have immediately fired that bastard. Well no.\u00a0<\/p>

I could no longer feel the same admiration for Antonio Canales and being in his company already did me more harm than hope.\u00a0<\/p>

Being a prima ballerina took a back seat and when I told my parents they wouldn't let me continue in such an environment.\u00a0<\/p>
