The rhythm of daily classes at Universal Dance Studio was so great that I didn't know where to save so many dollars. Every day I came home with more than $ 1000. Everything was cash, flamenco has never been a friend of credit cards, and it's not cheap either. I was also putting together 2 choreographies for the daughter of the director of a very important flamenco festival in Santa Barbara and she paid me a lot. Even when they found out that I lived in LA, they dispensed with the Sevillian bailaor Javier Bar\u00f3n that they brought from Spain, and I gave the course at the festival. <\/span><\/p>

In LA, if you don't have a car, you're lost. Buses were only taken by homeless people and drunkards. <\/span><\/p>

I was lucky to have students who were delighted to pick me up and take me home. <\/span><\/p>

It was time to leave the mansion and live closer to the school. <\/span><\/p>

Bertha, spoke with a friend of hers, Georgia, who came to my classes and offered me a suite on the ground floor of her house, a beautiful chalet with a dream pool, two German Weimaraners, who greeted me the first day with a pigeon they had hunted as a welcome gesture. I become crazy! ...and with a very very dangerous jacuzzi. <\/span><\/p>

Where on the weekends, a TV spot was shot and my student took me first to the movies to improve my English and then to jail where the inmates rehearsed the script for the play written by Georgia. I will never forget the faces of the prisoners and how they looked at me. A Puerto Rican in particular who had been sentenced to 30 years and who was falling in love with me and I with him. So handsome, so young, with that athlete's body ... I never visited them again.<\/span><\/p>

I began to write and document my first project to present to the Consul of Spain, who had the gesture of receiving me at his office on Wilshire Blvd. It was like a magazine with photos and its narrative texts of the\nday by day in my classes, highlighting the different nationalities and histories of each student, the moments of laughter, our sushi with Sake after each class, etc. And as a cover I designed a montage with \"La Manquita de Malaga\" inside a huge ballet hall.<\/p>

Mr. Joseluis Dicenta Ballester sat next to me on a huge sofa to read my project and with his pencil, he enjoy as a child in putting all the accents to the article \u201c\u00e9l \u201c there was not even one! he wonder how I was able to survive on $ 100 and get so much in such a short time. I told him that I had just started and that I was already thinking of bringing my mother from Spain, to take the dollars in an Italian bow. Of course I did not mention amounts to he since surely I would be earning more than the Consul of Spain himself and I did not know if that was legal. <\/span><\/p>

His smile lit up the office and he immediately called his secretary and told her to put me on the relevant guest list and print out the VIP invitation to the Spanish Film Festival and the party be would be holding at her Beverlly Hills\u2019s residence. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
